I wanted to give a shout out to those helping make online church a possibility for us! A HUGE "THANK YOU" to Pastor John, Future Pastor Michael and Future Pastor Joel for helping make this happen.

We'll be sending links and instructions for this Sunday as they become available.

We have learned that a "less than 10" order has been extended to the end of April, which means we'll be doing online church for at least 6 weeks. This week will be a "Sermon Only" presentation with the possibility of adding a worship segment in future weeks.

According to the CDC and our local government, they are restricting gatherings to 10 or less. We want to do our part in keeping you safe, containing the spread of this virus and abiding by the laws of our national, state and local leaders. This means that all extra curricular meetings will be canceled this week and there will be no services on location this coming Sunday, 3/22/2020.

We are working on an online service option and will communicate that to you as soon as we have it available. We encourage everyone who has internet capabilities to log on together at our regular service time of 10am and engage in the forum provided. This will be a very different venue for us and we need your prayers!

We will be doing church differently for an unforeseen time and as stated before, we will need to be creative in staying connected, as well as taking care of each other and our church. We’ve often said, “Church is not a building, it’s the people.” We are now seeing that more than ever.

We will communicate more details as they become available.

You are loved!

Pastor Rod

Good afternoon, FJC Family... We continue to monitor the news, the CDC and talking with FJC's resident doctors to determine our response to this virus situation. We are working on developing online worship opportunities so we can have services in some fashion if we are mandated to limit our gatherings. If this must become an option, we want to do it well, communicate how people can connect online, and try to promote community and service in the midst of this uncharted territory. We also want to communicate the following:

  • As pastor and staff, we are available and are here to serve you. If any needs arise, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will refrain from in person visits if there are infectious risks

  • Currently office hours are still the same, Monday-Friday from 9am-2pm. It is possible, given the financial impact of all that is happening that this may change

  • We want to encourage you to check on those in your small groups, prayer groups and Sunday School classes, especially those that may be considered more vulnerable. Let us be intentional in serving people inside and outside of our body of believers

  • You may continue to give your tithes and offerings in the following ways:

    • Dropping it by the church office during office hours

    • Giving online by clicking https://faithjourney.church/give and following the instructions to sign up

    • By mailing your offering to the church office: Faith Journey Church 2920 N 118th St, Suite 104 Omaha, NE, 68168

  • We also want to encourage you to be in prayer for the leadership, our overall ministry, our response to this situation and for greater vision when we return to our new normal.

When all of this is over, we will come back even more hungry to encounter Jesus, serve each other and serve the community we are called to reach. We'll keep you apprised of any new developments. As aways, please know, YOU ARE LOVED! Pastor Rod
